On Saturday representatives of The Club visited Families In Need (FIND) Ipswich to see the Charity that was supported by the Fundraising from the sponsored runs in February.
Maureen Reynel MBE, Founder and Chair of the Board of Trustees conducted a tour of the HQ and told us more about the work that they do.
'There are no wages. All the money that comes in to the charity goes out again' explained Maureen. 'It's guys like you that keep the wheels turning.'
Whilst the warehouse was packed with food and personal care items the fresh food would need to be replenished again within a week as over 150 families are currently supported.
The First Team, Reserves and Ladies ran a total of 2,500 miles between them in February. 'It was great to get the teams working together with some friendly competition and of course keeping fit during a difficult period' said Leon Moore. 'The fact we managed to raise just under £3,000 for a great cause, thanks to peoples generosity just makes it even better.'

Meanwhile during the down time at the club a huge task of an inventory of club kit took place. As a result 5 boxes of old kit was donated to Kits 4 Causes. The UK based charity takes unwanted football equipment and distributes it to social development projects around the world. Our kit was sent to teams and projects in Africa.
