After 6 seasons at Woodbridge Town, Alfie Stronge is moving on to pastures new.
An almost permanent figure between the sticks for The Woodpeckers the 22 year old will take with him a wealth of experience in The League, FA Cup and FA Vase. In Alfie's first season at Woodbridge he made 26 starts and an amazing 46 in the 2018-2019 Double Winning Season. Alfie will end his time at Woodbridge with just short of 200 competitive appearances and he'll be sure to remember scoring a goal too, in an FA Cup Replay at Clapton.
Glenn Snell had this to say;
He has been incredible for us and truly deserves this move higher.
Alfie will be progressing up the football pyramid to play at Step 4 and we would like to put on record not only our thanks for his effort and commitment to Woodbridge Town in the past but also our best wishes for the future.
Alfie commented;
After 6 unbelievable and successful years it wasn't an easy decision to make at all!
We look forward to welcoming you and your Dad back as supporters.
Nb. Our younger fans will have to forgive me for the Cilla Black references but unless we sign another Alfie they should be over for now.
