Back For Moore

Leon Moore has been confirmed as First Team Manager. After taking on the role in a caretaker position, along with Glenn Snell, at the beginning of the season the role has now been made permanent.

Glenn Snell has been made 'Head Coach/Football Development Officer', to support the coaches, managers and teams within the senior setup and working along side Director of Football, Mark Scopes. Meanwhile; Dave Bowman will remain as First Team Coach and Stef Robson, bought in by Leon last year, will continue as Goalkeeping Coach. Dave White and Katy Sealy will carry on with The Physio Roles from previous seasons.

"I always intended to commit, when given the opportunity and I'm pleased that time has finally come."

Whilst the pandemic interrupted the season and Leon's subsequent appointment he was eventually able to sit down with Mark Scopes recently.

"I'd like to thank the board for appointing me after such a disruptive season. The goals are clear now. We need to finish higher up the league table, improve year on year and constantly challenge ourselves."

"With Liam and Aren managing the Under 18s and Reserves there is a lot of hard work behind the scenes to ensure there is a clear pathway for players to reach the first team."

"The proof is in the pudding with Tom Shannon and Hayden Rayfield making appearances last season and Josiah Laws also making the bench. It's been a great experience for the young lads to train along side players with over 500 appearances for the club."

"It really is an exciting time to be at Woodbridge. We still have the ground move on the horizon which will elevate the club with some of the best facilities in the area and put it in a great position to move up the football pyramid."

"Once the season starts it's going to be a tough 4 months with a demanding schedule which will require a large squad. We're a long way down the road with assembling the right players. I can't wait for the cups. Whilst I'm sure the board will appreciate the potential prize money and the supporters love an away day to a new ground I relish the chance to compete in The FA Cup and FA Vase each year."

"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the supporters. They are a massive part of this club; whether it's matchday revenue or sponsorship or simply getting behind us from the touchline it makes such a difference for a club at our level."

"I can't wait to get the lads back together and get cracking again to see where this journey can take us."
