On Thursday evening the under
18’s played their first friendly match of the
season entertaining Hadleigh United at Notcutts
Park. |

Manager Chris Bruce used his full
compliment of substitutes to turn around a 1-3 half time deficit
after his side opened the scoring in the opening five minutes.
George Baldry latched onto a header from Sam Smy to stroke the ball
past the keeper to give Woodbridge the lead but Hadleigh’s strong
attack soon had the Woodbridge defence on the back foot to reach the
interval with what seemed a commanding lead scoring their first with
an excellent strike and the second out- jumping the Woodbridge
defence with a header at the back post.
Hadleigh added a fourth after half time before Woodbridge rallied
and Stuart Ballie and half time substitute Jordan Seaman scored
twice to make the final score an equal share of eight goals.
