Lewis Rhodes was beaten from 25 yards as
Grundisburgh struck the first blow before Matt
Oxbrow created an equalizer, put away neatly by
SAMI KRIIKULLA. Within a minute Grundisburgh had
regained the lead, but almost as quickly again
Ryan Stafford & Craig Jennings combined to give
JAMES WRIGHT his first goal in senior football.
In what was a busy period Jennings was hauled
down in the penalty area only for Oxbrow’s weak
kick to be saved. However, Kriikulla provided an
exquisite chip to the far post, which saw JOE
YEARLY head Woodbridge into a half-time lead.
There was a lull in goal-scoring
for a while after half-time until CRAIG JENNINGS
rounded the keeper & marked his return from
injury with a goal. Grundisburgh rallied &
reduced the lead with 20 minutes remaining, but
any danger of a comeback was quickly forgotten
as SAMI KRIIKULLA found the net from 20 yards &
in the last few minutes Woodbridge added two
more goals as JOSH MAYHEW firstly produced a
back-heel to set up DANNY TATUM for a goal
before grabbing the 10th & final goal of the
game himself, with an angled drive.
