MARK SCOPES - Manager
Mark took charge of first team affairs at the
beginning of last season having been involved
with the club for a number of years in coaching
and reserve team management. He played against
Woodbridge at Portman Road in the 1994 Suffolk
Senior Cup Final. |

MARTY THORPE –
Assistant Manager - Appearances 335 / Goals 53
Marty makes a welcome return to Woodbridge this
season after a spell as assistant manager and
coach at Walsham Le Willows. He represented the
Woodpeckers for 17 of the 26 seasons between
1977 and 2003 earning three Suffolk Senior Cup
and two Jewson League Cup medals.

PAUL LEECH –

Leechy has given over three decades of service
to the club in one way or another including a
goal ratio of one in every three games in 150
matches for the 1st team including, if you dare
to ask, a memorable hat trick at Wisbech.

DAVID WHITE –

David is starting his second season as match day
physio having served on the club’s management
board for 4 years. He played as a defender for
the first team in 1982-84 before injury cut
short his career. |

Bezza makes a very welcome return to Notcutts
Park this season after spells at Leiston and
Felixstowe & Walton United. Made his Woodbridge
debut in August 2004 |

A former Young Player of the Year at Leiston.
Comfortable anywhere in defence, Joe stepped up
from the Reserves to the first team at Victory
Road in 2009. |

JAMES CHURCHILL

Scored on his full debut at Haverhill in March
of last season and kept his place in the attack
until the end of the season. |

AARON CHURCHYARD
– (age 22) Midfield - Appearances 175 / Goals 20
A Notcutts Park favourite who came through our
youth system and returned to Woodbridge in
November 2008 after a brief spell at Wivenhoe
Town. Azza played in every position during the
course of last season including goalkeeper! |

GLYN DIXON –
(age 30) Goalkeeper - Appearances 8 / Goals 0
Made his debut for Woodbridge in August 2000 in
an FA Cup 3-0 win against Marlow, making eight
appearances as an understudy to Dean Garnham.
More recently has represented Woodbridge
Athletic, Melton St Audry’s and Grundisburgh. |

A vastly experienced midfielder, Frosty signed
in January 2010 from Felixstowe & Walton United
and subsequently played a major role in ensuring
our Premier Division survival. |

A full back who progressed through the under
18’s and reserves during 2009 and made his full
debut at Notcutts Park against Newmarket Town in
February 2010. |

A loyal servant of the club who made his first
team debut for Woodbridge back in 2001-02. A
left sided or central defender and strong in the
air. |

DANIEL MORPHEW –

A former Suffolk under 18’s player who joined us
in September 2009 from Leiston. Extremely
comfortable on the ball with an eye for a pass
and a strong tackle. |

Comfortable in possession and strong in the
tackle, but injury curtailed a promising start
to his career at Leiston. A member of Leiston’s
successful FA Cup squad in 2009. |

Chris joined us in December 2008 from neighbours
Melton St Audry’s and immediately established
himself as a first choice centre back. |

A product of the youth system and won the
Suffolk Minor Cup with the club as a youngster
and who rejoined the club from in 2008 from
Felixstowe & Walton United. |

Rejoined us in February 2009 after a brief stay
at Leiston, Ben is a quick winger with huge
potential. Represented Suffolk County U18’s in
their successful FA County Youth Cup victory.

A prolific goal scorer for the under 18’s and
reserves who will be looking to re-establish
himself in the first team attack this season
following a promising start in 2008-09.

A versatile and loyal left sided defender who
rejoined the club for a second spell from
Ipswich Wanderers at the beginning of the
2008-09 season. |

Former Woodbridge Town and Suffolk under
18’sfull back who has returned a stronger and
more accomplished player after a season at
Coplestonians. |

at the beginning of this season. Will progressed
through the Under 18’s and Reserves to the first

Voted the players and supporters ‘Player of the
Year’ in 2008-09, Craig returns to Notcutts Park
after a short stay at Felixstowe & Walton United

who had a spell at Coplestonians last season and
