Newmarket Town 6 Woodbridge Town 1
Saturday 7th November 2009
Woodbridge delivered their most inadequate display of the season to date against a hard working but ordinary Newmarket side.

More calamitous defending allowed the Jockey's to help themselves to three goals in each half, as left winger Stephen Bell was repeatedly permitted to deliver to his goal hungry colleagues. Bell's 16th minute cross was turned underneath Town keeper Adam Wilson by striker James Lane, his skipper Andy Eady rose to powerfully head home his corner kick on the half hour before Bell himself scored the third before the interval.

Woodbridge introduced all three substitutes before an hour had been played and a brief resurgence saw captain Aaron Churchyard rewarded with a goal for his lone efforts but within 30 seconds of the restart Richard Gammon had restored the Jockeys three goal advantage. Newmarket substitutes Jon Olive and Ken Holmes added further scores to complete the rout and condemn Woodbridge to another miserable afternoon.

Adam Wilson, Seb Brimstead, Grant Monaghan, Chris Pratt, Craig Stuart (Liam Scopes 44), Ben Miller, Tom Trevivian, Dan Morphew (Sean Rea 55), Marcus Josiah (Ben Goddard 55), Ben Seaman, Aaron Churchyard
