Tiptree United 5 Woodbridge Town 0
Saturday 18th April 2009
Woodbridge's poor away record continues after equalling their heaviest league defeat this season.

With only one away match remaining on Tuesday evening at Dereham Town, Woodbridge have only amassed 7 points from a possible 57 on their travels this season.

Woodbridge lined up with only two players over the age of 20 and were simply no match for Tiptree's experienced eleven and if starting without their two first choice centre backs wasn't difficult enough for the Woodpeckers, their two replacements had both left the field through injury by half time.

By this time Tiptree had gained a two goal lead, both scored by Steve Wareham and after the interval Lee Owen headed in the third, Lee Underwood scored with a spectacular scissor kick from 20 yards and in stoppage time George Lay completed the Jam makers nap hand.

Woodbridge only once came close to scoring, Ben Millers second half header from a Ben Seaman corner kick rattling the upright.

Tiptree United: Matt Belcher, Dan Harvey, Ben Cross, Liam Saunders, Liam White, Neil Shade, Seb Murfett, Lee Owen (Lewin Ward 63), Lee Underwood, Steve Wareham (John Watson 71), Nathan Clarke George Lay 77).
